The Body Bolster is a straight, round pregnancy body pillow, about 122 cm long. You hug it rather than lie inside it: under the bump, against the chest, or between the knees. A virgin hollowfibre filling keeps it plump, and at £12.49 it is our simplest pillow.
Anatomy of a very good hug
No wings, no curves, no diagram needed. A bolster pillow for pregnancy is deliberately basic. The quality lives in what you cannot see.
Some nights you do not need engineering. You need something to hold.
Since long before pregnancy pillows had shapes and names, side sleepers have hugged a long bolster. There is a reason the habit survives. Wrapping an arm and a leg over a firm roll gives the bump somewhere gentle to rest. The Body Bolster is that old idea, done properly.
Because it is straight, it has no right way up and no learning curve. Drag it where the ache is. Tonight under the bump, tomorrow between the knees. One pillow, moved freely, instead of a fixed shape deciding for you.
Hollowfibre insideThe manufacturer lists the filling as 100% virgin hollowfibre. It gives as you squeeze and plumps back with a shake.
A soft microfibre shellThe manufacturer lists the outer fabric as 100% microfibre and the care as sponge clean. It is a fixed shell, not a zip-off cover.
Easy to carryA straight pillow goes from bed to sofa to car without a fuss.
Kind to a shared bedIt lies along one side of you, so it adds little width to the bed and is easy to move out of the way.
A bolster supports one zone at a time. It will not hold your back while it holds your bump. If you want everything held at once, The Full Body U is the right tool and worth the extra £11. The Bolster is for mums who want simple, light and affordable.
Size, fill and fabric facts
The Body Bolster is a comfort product, not a medical device. If pain persists or worries you, your midwife or GP should hear about it first.
We check our sleep claims against NHS pregnancy sleep guidance and the Tommy’s Sleep On Side campaign. Last reviewed 11 August 2026.
Four reasons to start with the simple one
The Bolster does less than our shaped pillows. What it does, it does every single night.
Your body already knows this pillow
Nobody reads instructions to hug something. Arm over, leg over, breathe out. The bolster meets an instinct you were born with, which is why it feels right on night one, not night four.
Three sore spots, one answer
Bump dragging in the small hours? Tuck it under. Shoulders tense? Hold it close. Hips complaining? Knees either side of it. Same pillow, redeployed in two seconds, no rearranging ritual.
Made in the United Kingdom
The manufacturer lists the United Kingdom as the country of manufacture and describes the filling as non-allergenic.

A gentle price, nothing cut back
£12.49, and nothing about it is cut back: same fabrics, same trial, same free UK mainland delivery. A first pillow, or a second one for the sofa.
Where does a bolster go? Wherever it hurts.
Same pillow, three placements. You can move through all three in a single night, and that is the point.
Under the bump
On your side, slide the bolster lengthways so the bump rests on it.
Bump supportedHugged to your chest
Wrap your arms around it and hook a leg over. Shoulders unround, ribs open, and drifting off gets easier.
Shoulders softBetween the knees
Trap it between knees and ankles. Your top hip stops rolling forward and the pelvis stays stacked.
Hips stackedBolster, Full Body U or Bump Wing?
Three pillows, three philosophies. The table tells you plainly where the Bolster loses, because it does.
Budget first, or unsure a pregnancy pillow is for you? Start here at £12.49. Certain you want the works, head to knees, from night one? Go straight to The Full Body U. Want something to hug that also holds your back? The G Cloud does both. Strictly a side sleeper who wants bump and back held? The Bump Wing targets exactly that. Missing front sleeping? That is what The Bump Lounger exists for. Still torn? The homepage compares everything.
A bolster is the easiest shape to reposition in the dark. How to use one, front and back.
Three promises on every Bolster
Small price, full service. The £12.49 pillow gets the same treatment as everything else we sell.

Hug it for a whole season, then judge it.
Photos cannot tell you how a pillow hugs back. Nights can. So the Bolster comes with 90 of them: use it hard, drag it round the house. If your sleep is not calmer by the end, return it for every penny. You cover return postage.
Can you use a pregnancy body pillow when you are not pregnant?
Short answer: yes. It is a 122 cm bolster, and it does not know what month you are in.
Nothing about this pillow is specific to pregnancy except the reason you are looking at it now. It is a long body pillow: one straight bolster you hug at the top and trap between your knees at the bottom. That is as useful long after the birth as it is at 30 weeks.
So it keeps going. After the birth it props your back while you feed.
What it is not: it is not a maternity-only object, and it is not a pillow you should feel odd about keeping. Ours comes in one size at £12.49, and it carries on as an ordinary bolster pillow after it stops being a pregnancy one.
